Cal State San Marcos Athletics posted a 3.321 grade-point average as a department for the Spring 2024 semester.

Trevor Boaz, Aeden Fernandez, Renton McGregor, Nick Melanese and Will Prouty of the Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team and Rasha Badrani, Lilly McGraw, Mia Salinas, Carly Schuerger and Rachelle Zilavec of the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees.
