Murr Named FloCollege/CCAA Co-Golfer of the Week

SAN MARCOS, Calif. Madison Murr of Cal State San Marcos and Cal State LA's Daniela Andrade have been chosen to share this week's award as FloCollege/CCAA Women's Golfers of the Week.

Murr and Andrade both shot a 5-under 139 to finish atop of the leaderboard at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, hosted by Cal State East Bay, at Corcia Park Golf Course in Alameda. Murr edged Andrade at the first playoff hole on Tuesday to earn the tournament's medalist trophy.

Murr, a senior from Los Alamitos, opened the tournament on Monday with an impressive 4-under 68 to take charge. The nation's fifth-ranked golfer finished with a 1-under 71 in round two for the tally. She was the tourney's best at Par 4's with an average of 3.90. Murr recorded eight birdies and 23 pars. It was Murr's third win this season and eighth of her collegiate career.

Andrade, a sophomore from San Jose, had Tuesday's low round score of 3-under 69 to rally to the top, forcing a playoff against Murr. She had shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round to be in the top five after Monday. Andrade, who also had eight birdies, led the field with the best average on Par 5s with a 4.25. It was her best finish of the 2024-25 season.

This is Murr's fourth CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week award in 2024-25 and 11th of her career, one shy of the CCAA record held by CSUSM's Jaime Jacob. It is Andrade's second weekly honor.
