The Cal State San Marcos baseball team (5-4, 1-3 CCAA) will play its first road games of the season against Cal State LA (3-7, 0-0 CCAA) beginning on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The series will continue with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and will conclude with the series finale on Sunday at noon.   Due to field issues at Cal State LA, the entire four-game series has been moved to ELAC Baseball Field in Monterey Park, and there will not be a video stream available this weekend.

Madison Murr of Cal State San Marcos and Cal State LA's Daniela Andrade have been chosen to share this week's award as FloCollege/CCAA Women's Golfers of the Week.

Madison Murr was crowned the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout individual medalist after winning the playoff after carding a 5-under 139 (69-71). As a team, Cal State San Marcos took third place with a 15-over 591.

The No. 14 Cal State San Marcos softball team (14-3, 4-2 CCAA) fell twice to RV San Francisco State (14-4, 3-1 CCAA) on Friday afternoon at SFSU Softball Field by scores of 6-1 and 4-3.

The No. 14 Cal State San Marcos softball team (14-1, 4-0 CCAA) opened CCAA action with a four-game series sweep over Stanislaus State (3-11, 0-4 CCAA) after winning both games on Saturday by scores of 5-2 and 1-0. On Friday, the Cougars recorded 6-2 and 5-4 victories.
