COURSE REPORT: Cal State San Marcos' Madison Murr is one stroke out of first place following the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships held in Winter Garden, Florida. As a team, the Cougars are tied for 14th place with a 12-over 300 and are only five strokes out of the top eight.
FIRST TEE
- In an eight-way tie for third with a 2-under 70, Murr opened the day with two birdies before posting a triple bogey on hole three. She finished the front nine with three birdies and three pars. Murr tallied an even-par 36 on the back nine with a birdie and bogey.
