Johnson's Buzzer Beater Lifts Cougars to 57-55 Victory at Humboldt
ARCATA, Calif. – A Camille Johnson buzzer-beating putback gave the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (8-19, 8-13 CCAA) a 57-55 victory at Cal Poly Humboldt (9-18, 8-13 CCAA) on Thursday night in Lumberjack Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars trailed 19-15 following the first quarter after shooting 31.3 (5-of-16) to Humboldt's 53.8% (42.9%).
- Three made free throws by Maddie Leiva gave CSUSM a 29-28 lead with 2:34 remaining in the second quarter.
- The Jacks answered with a 5-0 run to close out the first half with a 33-29 lead.
- After shooting only 30.0% (9-of-30) in the first half to Humboldt's 50% (13-of-56), CSUSM stayed in the game with an 8-1 offensive rebound advantage.
- A 10-0 run capped on a Tatum Tamashiro 3-pointer at 7:14 gave CSUSM a 39-35 lead in the third quarter.
- Leading 51-49 with 10 minutes remaining in the game, CSUSM shot 61.5% (8-of-13) in the third quarter while the Jacks came in at 37.5% (6-of-16)
- The Cougars led 55-51 at 2:49 after a Rory Hetrick jumper.
- Humboldt evened the game at 55-all after a pair of made free throws by Dailani Richardson and a Kyori Lloyd layup with 16 seconds on the clock.
- After a missed jumper by Rose Morse, Camille Johnson snagged the offensive board and laid it back up to give CSUSM the victory.
