CSUSM Records Back-to-Back Sweeps on Day Two of Cougar Classic
The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (3-3) earned consecutive sweeps Friday at The Sports Center, defeating Minnesota Crookston (1-5) by scores of 25-17, 30-28 and 25-15 before dispatching Saint Michael's (1-4) by scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-21 on the second day of the Cougar Classic. CSUSM hit .325 over the six sets while holding its opponents to a combined .079 hitting percentage.
Cougars Fall in Three Against Bemidji State
The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (1-3) opened its home schedule in The Cougar Classic on Thursday evening at The Sports Center, falling 3-0 (13-25, 21-25, 19-25) to undefeated Bemidji State (5-0).
CSUSM Falls in Five Against Northwest Nazarene
The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (1-2) concluded the Otter Invitational with a five-set heartbreaker to undefeated Northwest Nazarene (4-0) on Saturday afternoon at The Kelp Bed. The Cougars held a 2-1 match lead and reached match point in the fifth set before the Nighthawks rallied for a 25-23, 22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 17-15 victory.
Cougars Split Day One at Otter Invitational
The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (1-1) split its two matches on Friday at The Kelp Bed on its opening day of the Otter Invitational. CSUSM fell to Sioux Falls (2-0) in straight sets (19-25, 19-25, 16-25) before earning its first win of the season with a five-set victory (25-15, 25-17, 15-25, 17-25, 15-11) over Dominican (0-2).
Ninety-Nine Cougars Earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award
Cal State San Marcos Athletics had 99 student-athletes earn the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
