The No. 7 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team closed out its season with a 3-2 loss to No. 2 Dallas Baptist in the semifinals of the NCAA Division National Championships. Earlier in the day, the Cougars took down St. Mary's (TX) by score of 3.5-1.5.
CSUSM Captures First West Regional Title
The No. 7 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team captured its first NCAA Division II West Regional title in program history on Tuesday at Pueblo Country Club. The Cougars posted a three-round score of 55-over 907 (299-305-303) to defeat No. 2 Dallas Baptist by seven strokes.
McCormick, Sickles Named CSUSM Student-Athletes of the Month
Gavin McCormick of men's golf and Abby Sickles of women's golf have been named the Cal State San Marcos Student-Athletes of the Month for April 2026.
Foster, Leedom, Hutton Take Top CCAA Awards; Five Cougars Selected All-CCAA
Five Cougars from the No. 9 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team garnered All-CCAA recognition as the program continued its reign atop the conference. Avery Foster was named CCAA Golfer of the Year, Ellaclair Leedom was selected Freshman of the Year and head Coach Greg Hutton received his eighth consecutive CCAA Women's Golf Coach of the Year honor.
CSUSM Claims Seventh Conecutive CCAA Championship Behind Sickles’ Medalist Win
The No. 11 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team captured its seventh consecutive CCAA Championship on Wednesday, with a wire-to-wire performance to finish with a three-round total of 23-over 887 (287-298-302) at The Reserve at Spanos Park. Abby Sickles earned individual medalist honors with a tournament score of 1-under par 215, marking CSUSM's sixth individual CCAA champion in the last seven championships.
