The CSUSM believes that the arts are essential to the academic, intellectual and cultural climate of a vibrant university campus. The new School of Arts in the College of Humanities, Behavioral and Social Sciences aims to be a regional leader in preparing students for cutting-edge careers in California’s creative economy while also acting as a nexus for the arts in North San Diego County and beyond.The School of Arts is more than just a classroom, it's a community where students begin to express themselves through individual artistic visions.

A newly established center, gifted by supporters Jan and Esther Stearns, gives ACE Scholars a place to call home on campus.
- 1:41Super STEM Saturday Fuels Interest in Science, InnovationInteractive demonstrations and hands-on science activities including rocket launches, build-a-robot stations, a magic show, animal encounters and scientist chats engaged more than 5,000 attendees on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the annual science festival Super STEM Saturday, held at CSUSM in partnership with The Classical Academies. Free and open to the public, Super STEM Saturday kicked off the weeklong San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, the largest celebration of innovation and science education in Southern California.
