SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team (5-3, 1-2 CCAA) suffered a pair of losses to Cal State Dominguez Hills (6-6, 2-1 CCAA) by scores of 8-1 and 6-2 on Saturday at CSUSM Baseball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless entering the bottom of the fifth, a sacrifice fly to left by Hayden Tregidga scored Jake Callahan to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead.
- The Toros took a 7-1 lead in the top of the sixth on a two-run homer by Noah Karliner, a two-run triple by Emilio Barrera, an RBI single by Dylan Schumacher and a two-run single by Jared Anderson.
- CSUDH's final run of the game came on a passed ball that scored Kaleb Castro to make it 8-1.

- Phoenix Sommay extended his program-record reached-base streak to 49 games with a walk.
- Toro reliever Julian Castro (2-0) earned the win after pitching 5.0 scoreless innings and allowing just four hits and a hit-by-pitch.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM began the game with a 2-0 lead after a Cameron Mahaffy RBI single in the first inning and a Victor Castaneda RBI double in the second innings.
- In the top of the fourth, CSUDH went up 4-2 with a solo homer from Dylan Schumacher, a wild pitched that scored Teige Barrett, an RBI single to left by Kaleb Castro and a throwing error that scored Trey Winget from second after stealing the base.
- The Toros went up 6-2 in the top of the fifth with a solo shot by Quinn Johnson and a passed ball that scored Emilio Barrera.

- Toro starter Justin Abercrombie (2-1) earned the win after striking out four and allowing two runs on two hits, three walks and hit-by-pitch in 5.0 innings.
