CSUSM welcomes 288 students as the first residents of The QUAD, the University's newest student-housing property located adjacent to campus. Being built in two phases, The QUAD is the cornerstone property of what will become North City, a 200 acre urban center featuring residential housing, retail stories and recreational parks.

Whether you tapped into your creative side, met your future roommates, cheered on your home team or were inspired by our renowned professors - one thing is certain... we all look better in Cougar Blue!More than 5,000 future Cougars and community guests experienced Cal State San Marcos up close at Discover CSUSM Day, an all-campus open house on April 11 that featured campus tours, academic lectures and exhibits, a track and field invitational, baseball doubleheader, music, dance and theater performances and more.The free open house is part of the university's year-long 25th anniversary celebration. Graduates from Cal State San Marcos' Class of 2014 were especially happy to celebrate their Commencement on May 24-25, a week after ceremonies were cancelled due to the wildfires that burned around the campus and throughout San Diego County.Students, faculty, staff and administrators including University President Karen Haynes and California State University Chancellor Timothy White expressed their excitement and joy as they danced to Pharrell Williams' "Happy" at the four ceremonies that almost didn't happen.For more information on CSUSM's commencement 2014, visit news.csusm.edu.
