CHICO, Calif. – (RV) Cal State San Marcos women's soccer (4-1-3, 1-0-1 CCAA) wrapped up its first weekend of CCAA play with a 1-0 victory at Chico State (3-4-2, 1-1-0) on Sunday at University Soccer Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Scoreless after 45 minutes, CSUSM had a 2-1 edge in shots and a 4-1 advantage on corner kicks.
- In the 69th minute, Kaci Embree took possession from a Wildcat player who tried to intercept a Cougar pass from near midfield. From outside the top left corner of the box, Embree put a long shot into the upper right corner of the goal to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead.

- Embree's goal was her first of the season.
- CSUSM ended the game with the edge in shots (12-7), shots on goal (3-2) and corner kicks (8-4).
- The Cougars' 12 shots tied their season high from Friday at Cal Poly Humboldt.

- CSUSM has shut out its opponent in each of the last four games.
