The No. 18 Cal State San Marcos softball team (27-10, 13-9 CCAA) registered back-to-back shutouts against Chico State (19-17, 11-15 CCAA) on Friday afternoon at CSUSM Softball Field. The Cougars run-ruled the Wildcats in game one, 8-0, before ending the day with a 5-0 victory.

Due to field conditions on campus, the games will be played at Bear River Sports Complex in Loleta.
