CSUSM Falls In Three To No. 6 CPP

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (4-12, 2-7 CCAA) dropped a three-set match (12-25, 15-25, 13-25) to No. 6 Cal Poly Pomona (15-1, 9-0 CCAA) on Friday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • CSUSM went up 3-1 in the first set before the Broncos pulled away to take the win 25-12.
  • CPP led wire-to-wire in the second set, taking it at 25-15.
  • Behind a .500 hitting percentage, the Broncos took the third set at 25-13 complete the sweep.

  • CSUSM is now 6-10 in the all-time series against the Broncos.
  • The Cougars are 3-4 when playing against CPP in The Sports Center.
