SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team will look to earn spots in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with its final two indoor meets at the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational on Friday at 10 a.m. (PST) in Staten Island, New York, and the BU Last Chance Meet in Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday at 8 a.m. (PST).
LAST MEET
- CSUSM last competed at the two Minnesota State Massive Meets on Feb. 10-11 in Mankato, Minnesota.
- In the first meet, CSUSM posted four school records and three NCAA provisional marks.
- Devin Yarbrough set the CSUSM school record in the 60-meter dash with an NCAA provisional time of 7.62 in the finals and finished second. She first broke the record in the preliminaries with a time of 7.80. Yarbrough's time bettered Krystle Osby's near-10-year-old record of 7.84.
- Yarbrough then broke her second school record of the day with an NCAA provisional distance of 5.84 meters. This broke Yachi Falls' 10-year-old school record of 5.61 meters.
- Charlotte Allison broke the team record in the high jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 1.67 meters. Her height broke Melissa Olmos' record of 1.63 set in 2015.
- Rasha Badrani posted a school-record time of 58.88 in the 400-meter dash. Her time beat out the program's oldest indoor record of 59.32 set by Monika Valenzuela in 2010.
- The second meet saw the Cougars post two top-10 times.

- This will be CSUSM's second consecutive year competing in the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational.
- Last season, the Cougars saw one school record fall and multiple top-10 marks.
- CSUSM will see performances from Charlotte Allison, Rasha Badrani, Morgann Wilson, Ana Mercado, Luz Mercado, Daisy Gonzalez, Emma Mills, Teigen O'Donnell, Mia Salinas, Jayln Guglielmana, Ashton Stamatopoulos and Devin Yarbrough.

BU LAST CHANCE MEET
- Like the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational, the Cougars will be competing in the BU Last Chance Meet for the second consecutive season on Sunday.
- Both field and running events will begin at 8 a.m. (PST).
- The Cougars tallied three top-10 program marks at last year's meet.
THE OLSON FILE
- Head coach Torrey Olson begins his fifth season at the helm of the men's and women's track & field programs after taking over in the summer of 2018.
- In 2019, Olson's men's and women's squads tallied three individual CCAA Championships for outdoor competition while the men's team earned five USTFCCCA All-West Region selections.
- In 2022, Olson guided both teams to a combined three individual CCAA Championships, 13 All-CCAA selections and five USTFCCCA All-West Region honors.
- Olson came to CSUSM after spending three seasons as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at the Academy of Art University where his teams earned 50-plus All-American honors.
- Olson served as the head cross country coach the previous three years at Academy of Art.
- In addition to the Academy of Art, Olson has also worked with the University of San Francisco and Pomona-Pitzer College.
- A graduate of Pomona College in 2009, Olson also holds an MFA from St. Mary's College (2012).
