SAN DIEGO – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team posted three top-10 program marks at Point Loma's Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational on Saturday at PLNU Track & Field.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Trinity Barr tied for the second-best high jump mark in program history at 1.65 meters – .04 better than her mark last week at the Ben Brown Invitational. Her mark was the best by a Cougar since 2015 and was just .02 shy of an NCAA provisional.
- Kayla James posted the 10th-best 100-meter dash mark in team history at 12.39 seconds and finished seventh. Devin Yarbrough, who already holds the fifth-fastest time in program history, finished in 12.29 seconds – .05 off her PR.
- Lauren Meredith tallied the fourth-best pole vault mark in program history at 3.51 meters while Lilly McGraw recorded the same height.
- Dymon Preyor was second out of 12 entrants in the long jump with a wind-aided mark of 5.32 meters.
- Cam Ellis was CSUSM's top javelin thrower at 23.05 meters.
- As CSUSM's lone entrant in the hammer throw, Dana Hasan tossed a distance of 23.02 meters.
- Emily Mendoza was the top Cougar in the 1500-meter run at 5:08.94.
- Kailey Frye put up CSUSM's top distance in the triple jump at 10.52 meters.
- Shaylee Mutka had the Cougars' fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles at 15 seconds flat.
