Paulson Earns Two All-America Nods

KANSAS CITY, Mo.Natalie Paulson of the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team earned two NCAA Division II All-America honors as she was named a first-team selection by the United Soccer Coaches and was named to the third team by the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) on Thursday.
 
Paulson was previously named to the D2 CCA and United Soccer Coaches All-West Region first teams after being voted as the CCAA Player and Defender of the Year. The All-CCAA first-team selection concluded the 2023 season with a team-high six goals while ranking second on the team in points with 12. Three of her six goals were game-winning goals, tying for the fourth most in a single season at CSUSM.
 
Paulson went on to be named the CCAA Tournament's Most Valuable Defensive Player while earning All-Tournament Team honors as the Cougars won their first conference tournament championship.
 
Paulson is the first CSUSM women's soccer student-athlete to be named an All-American in the NCAA Division II era (2015-present) and is the program's first since its final year of NAIA play in 2014.
 
This year's United Soccer Coaches All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
