CSUSM Men's, Women's Soccer Earn 2022-23 Team Academic Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cal State San Marcos men's and women's soccer teams were each announced as 2022-23 College Team Academic Award winners by the United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Head Women's Soccer Coach Bobby Renneisen saw his squad earn a 3.50 grade-point average to achieve their ninth consecutive Team Academic Award since 2012.
Head Men's Soccer Coach Ron Pulvers saw his team post a 3.32 grade-point average as they earned the first Team Academic Award in program history.
A total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) posted a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 179 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including CSUSM.
