CSUSM Selected as No. 5 Seed in NCAA West Regional
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After securing their first CCAA Tournament Championship and locking up the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team was selected as the No. 5 seed in the NCAA West Regional and will face fourth-seeded Concordia University Irvine at top-seeded Point Loma in San Diego on Thursday at noon.
The winner of CSUSM and CUI will face PLNU in the second round of action on Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Cougars will enter the NCAA Tournament on a program-record 14-game unbeaten streak that began on Sept. 23. CSUSM defeated Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA Tournament's championship game on Sunday in Seaside at Cal State Monterey Bay's Cardinale Stadium.
