Three Cougars Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

SAN MARCOS, Calif.Jason McElroy and Arman Rahgozar of the Cal State San Marcos men's golf team and Madison Murr of the Cal State San Marcos women's golf team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
 
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 8 and 9.
