COURSE REPORT: The No. 6 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team placed third at The Patriot Invitational on Tuesday, finishing with a 41-over 893. Three Cougars finished in the top 10 with Kiara Hernandez tying for sixth place while Diana Delgado and Regan Barton shared ninth-place honors.
FIRST TEE
- Hernandez recorded three birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey to finish Tuesday with a 1-over 72 and a three-round total of 8-over 221 (76-73-72).
- Regan Barton and Diana Delgado tied for the second consecutive tournament, this time for ninth place with a 9-over 222.
- Makenna Cabardo shared 20th place with two other golfers after carding a 15-over 228 (73-78-77).
- Hannah Anderson rounded out the CSUSM five with a 31-over 244 for a share of 62nd place.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD
- Dallas Baptist was awarded the team title, sneaking past NCAA Division I Harvard who was on top of the leaderboard for the first two rounds. DBU (885, +33) won by two strokes after carding a tournament-low 287 in the final round.
- Arkansas Tech's Ellen Sprigner was crowned the individual medalist after turning in a 1-under 212 (72-68-72).
- CSUSM led the field in Par 3 scoring (3.24, +18).
