Cougars Collect Numerous PRs at UC Riverside Invite

COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team had numerous personal-bests while finishing 24th at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning. The Cougars were led by Angela McManus' 79th-place finish out of 223 runners.
FINISH LINE
- Angela McManus was CSUSM's top finisher with a PR time of 21:24.4, topping her time by more of a minute (22:27.0).
- In just her second collegiate race, Hailie Lomeli was the second Cougar to cross the line in a time of 21:44.8 for 109th place.
- Maria Texis placed 169th with a PR time of 22:14.4.
- Kelsi Hart, Alayna McGarry and Emma Mills went 202 (22:44.9), 207th (22:52.3) and 213 (23:04.7), respectively.
- Emily Mendoza rounded out CSUSM scorers with a 220th finish at 23:33.1.
- Lauren Peacher was CSUSM's top finisher in the Open 5K race at 66th place with a time of 18:53.4.

"Today was a good day for the Cougars. On both sides, there were tons of lifetime bests, and also pieces that we can continue to nudge forward. It was a great challenge and learning experience, and we look forward to lining up again on our home course next week."
