The Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed 23rd out of 25 teams at the Highlander Invitational on Saturday in Riverside, scoring 511 points in the 6K race.
FINISH LINE
- Hailie Lomeli led the Cougars with a 73rd-place finish in 21:57.1.
- Gabriella Romero placed 120th with a 6K PR time of 22:36.1.
- Chloe Quezada crossed in 124th at 22:39.1.
- Lauren Peacher finished 127th with a 6K PR time of 22:41.2.
- Emily Mendoza rounded out CSUSM's scoring five in 171st place with a time of 23:15.9.
- Additional Cougar finishers included Tamara Cornejo (177th, 23:20.1), Itzel Del Rio (180th, 23:20.7), Lilliana Sanders (203rd, 23:53.3), Kennadi Cauley (207th, 24:02.7), Alayna McGarry (236th, 25:14.3), Aurora Eskridge (241st, 25:47.7), Thalia Griffith (214th, 24:17.1) and Dayanara Solis (255th, 28:37.9).

- McManus Cracks Top 10 at Lewis CrossoverThe Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed 20th out of 33 teams at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday in Romeoville, Illinois, scoring 485 points. Senior Angela McManus led the Cougars with a top-10 finish in a competitive 6K field.
- CSUSM Competes at UC Riverside InvitationalThe Cal State San Marcos women's cross country team placed 22nd out of 24 teams in the Invitational 6K race at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning, scoring 557 points. The Cougars also competed in the Open 5K division, finishing 12th out of 26 teams with 399 points.
