10 Cougars Named CSC Academic All-District Honoree
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Trevor Boaz, Aeden Fernandez, Renton McGregor, Nick Melanese and Will Prouty of the Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team and Rasha Badrani, Lilly McGraw, Mia Salinas, Carly Schuerger and Rachelle Zilavec of the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees.
The 2024 Academic All-District Men's/Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at his/her current institution, must be ranked in the top 50 in the West Region for at least one event, and must be a sophomore academically and athletically.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 9, 2024.
