SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team completed three meets over the course of two days as it took part in Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational, Long Beach State's Beach Invitational and La Verne's Leopard Distance Carnival on Friday and Saturday.
BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL TOP PERFORMANCES
- Nick Melanese ran his second-fastest 800-meter run of the season at 1:50.97 on Friday while Renton McGregor finished in 1:53.10.
- Melanese posted a 1500-meter time of 3:47.50 on Saturday.
BEACH INVITATIONAL TOP PERFORMANCES
- Juan Leyva posted a distance of 50.44 meters in the hammer throw.
- Amaree Berry had a 400-meter time of 50.77 seconds.
- Dre Johnson recorded a wind-aided 100-meter dash time of 10.72 seconds. He also posted a wind-aided 200-meter mark of 22.01 seconds.
- Gio Moya was the top Cougar in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.06.
- Kalathan Laiwa-McKay finished with a mark of 16.91 meters in the shot put.
LEOPARD DISTANCE CARNIVAL TOP PERFORMANCES
- Jason Morse was the top Cougar in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 9:53.41.
