COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team saw its seven-stroke lead dwindle away but remains in striking distance after day two of the CCAA Championships. The Cougars shot an even-par 288 and is one stroke behind leader Sonoma State (566, -10).

- Patrick Jaksch was CSUSM's top golfer following the second round after he turned in a 1-under 71 and now sits in seventh place with a 4-under 140.
- Despite carding a 2-over 74 on Tuesday, Gavin McCormick remains in the top 10 with a 3-under 141 and is tied for eighth.
