COURSE REPORT:  The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team saw its seven-stroke lead dwindle away but remains in striking distance after day two of the CCAA Championships. The Cougars shot an even-par 288 and is one stroke behind leader Sonoma State (566, -10).

FIRST TEE

• Patrick Jaksch was CSUSM's top golfer following the second round after he turned in a 1-under 71 and now sits in seventh place with a 4-under 140.
• Despite carding a 2-over 74 on Tuesday, Gavin McCormick remains in the top 10 with a 3-under 141 and is tied for eighth.
• Jason McElroy is tied for 11th with a 2-under 142 (69-73).
• Arman Rahgozar moved up six spots after carding a 2-under 70 and is now tied for 17th with an even-par 144 (74-70).
• Aiden Canada is tied for 30th with a 5-over 149 (75-74).
