COURSE REPORT:  The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team took second place at the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational with a 5-over 869 (283-290-296) on Tuesday at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista.  

FIRST TEE

• Jason McElroy led the Cougars with a share of third place with a 2-under 214 (72-70-72).
• Greg Mouser placed seventh with an even-par 216 (68-74-74).
• Arman Rahgozar tied for 14th place after matching his second-round score of 73 on Tuesday, finishing with a 4-over 220 (74-73-73).
• Gavin McCormick finished with a 5-over 221 (71-73-77) to share 17th place with Nick Mouser (76-68-77).
• Vinny Bengtson tied for 31st place with a 10-over 226 to round out CSUSM's five.
• Playing as individuals, Aiden Canada took 27th place (225, +9), followed by Patrick Jaksch who tied for 47th (231, +15) and Owen Otto who placed 71st (249, +33).

• St. Mary's captured the team title with an 11-under 853 (284-287-282).
• SMU's Kongpop Kaikaew shot even par or lower in all three rounds to claim the individual medalist honors with a 5-under 211 (72-69-70).
• CSUSM finished with 55 birdies, 11 more than second-place Sonoma State's 44.
• St. Mary registered a tournament-high five eagles while CSUSM followed with four (McElroy, No. Mouser, Canada, McCormick).
