SAN MARCOS, Calif. – For the second consecutive week, Patrick Jaksch of Cal State San Marcos earned the CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week award after a top-five finish at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout.
Jaksch tied for fourth place after three rounds at the Corica Golf Course with a 7-under 209. He boasted the best score in the tournament on par fours at 5-under. Jaksch also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Jaksch had 13 birdies and two eagles over 36 holes. In round three, Jaksch collected an eagle, a birdie and two pars to post a 2-under 70 and secure fourth place alongside fellow CCAA golfer Tyler Ashman of Chico State.
This is Jaksch's second top-five finish in his career, following his first collegiate tournament victory last week.
CSUSM travels north to compete in the Hanny Invitational in Turlock in just under two weeks.
