CSUSM Falls in Three in Season Opener in Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (0-1) opened its 2025 campaign Thursday evening at the Alaska Airlines Center, falling in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-11) to Alaska Fairbanks (4-1) in the first match of the Seawolf Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM overcame a 7-1 start to even the first set at 14-all on an Addison Kranz kill before falling 25-18.
- The Cougars kept the second set close before UAF went on a 6-0 run and eventually collected a 25-13 win.
- UAF led wire-to-wire in the third set and closed out the match with a dominant .542 hitting percentage to record a 25-11 victory.
