Renneisen Announces 2024 Women's Soccer Schedule

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Coming off a historic 2023 campaign that resulted in the program's first CCAA Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance, the Cal State San Marcos women's soccer team will look to keep the momentum going as Head Coach Bobby Renneisen announced the Cougars' 2024 schedule on Thursday.

"We are very excited to get the 2024 season underway with a dynamic incoming class," Renneisen said. "Our team has been eagerly working toward the journey ahead with the consistent mindset of improving each day with energy, effort and enthusiasm as the foundation. The CCAA will once again be a premier conference and our non-conference schedule will battle test us against top-tier competition."

CSUSM will begin its regular season on Sept. 5 as it travels to down to Point Loma to face the defending 2023 NCAA Division II National Champions. The Cougars will then conclude their first week of play with a visit to Westmont in Santa Barbara on Sept. 7. CSUSM will play its third consecutive road game against a PacWest opponent on Sept. 11 when it travels to Azusa Pacific.

The Cougars will open their home schedule on Sept. 15 by facing Colorado State Pueblo while also celebrating Senior Day. After nearly a week off, CSUSM will head to Biola on Sept. 21 before returning home to face Concordia University Irvine on Sept. 25. The Cougars will wrap up non-conference play by traveling to Cal State East Bay on Sept. 28.

CSUSM will begin CCAA play on the road in Northern California on Oct. 4 at Sonoma State before heading further north to Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 6. The Cougars will return home for three consecutive home games against Cal State San Bernardino (Oct. 11), Cal Poly Pomona (Oct. 13) and Cal State Monterey Bay (Oct. 17) before going on a three-game road trip to San Francisco State (Oct. 20), Cal State Dominguez Hills (Oct. 25) and Cal State LA (Oct. 27).

The Cougars will conclude their home schedule with three consecutive games at The Cage against Stanislaus State (Nov. 1), Chico State (Nov. 3) and Cal State East Bay (Nov. 7). Should CSUSM be one of the six teams to qualify for the CCAA Tournament, it would begin the tournament with first-round games at campus sites on Nov. 10 before heading to Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata for the semifinals and championship on Nov. 15 and 17.
