COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team continued indoor competition by posting a school record, an NCAA provisional and a total of 16 top-10 program marks at the Colorado Running Company Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi on Friday and Saturday on the campus of UC Colorado Springs.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- On Saturday, Jordyn Brooks broke the program's school record in the triple jump with a mark of 11.44 meters on her third attempt, surpassing Amaya Mahmoud's 2022 record of 11.40 meters. Andrea Alvarado (11.11m), Shaylee Mutka (10.84m) and Aliyah Ratcliffe (10.53m) posted the fourth-, sixth- and eighth-best marks in program history, respectively.
- On her fourth attempt, Brooks also tallied the second-best long jump in team history on Friday with an NCAA provisional mark of 5.72 meters.
- In the pole vault, Lauren Meredith improved her PR at a height of 3.52 meters – the second-best mark in program history.
- Saturday's high jump event saw Ashlyn Holson earn the third-best height in program history at 1.62 meters
- In the pentathlon's high jump, Isabella Sanchez tied for the fifth-best mark in team history at 1.55 meters.
- Mutka and Meredith had the fifth- and sixth-best 60-meter hurdle times in program history at 9.07 and 9.22 when converted for altitude and track size.
- The pentathlon's shot put event saw Emma Steele record the eighth-best throw in program history at 8.59 meters.
- In the 200- and 400-meter dashes, Adriana Hewitt posted the ninth-best times in team history when converted for altitude and track size at 26.43 seconds and 1:01.60.
- Samone Cable, Sanchez and Holson entered the program's top 10 in the pentathlon with track-size converted scores of 1917, 1858 and 1798, respectively.

CSUSM will take a two-month break before its final two regular-season meets at Minnesota State's two iterations of the Maverick Premier on Feb. 14 and 15 in Mankato, Minnesota.
