Badrani, Hart Earn USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANSRasha Badrani and Kelsi Hart of the Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team were named 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region honorees by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.

Badrani earned All-Region honors in both the 200- and 400-meter dash. The San Marcos native had the nation's top time in the 400 after finishing in 52.92 seconds at the Wolf Pack Classic while her 200-meter time of 24.05 at the Maverick Premier #1 ranked fifth in the West Region. Both of Badrani's times were school records.

Hart earned All-Region honors in the 5000-meter run. The freshman from San Marcos ran the region's third-fastest time of 17:20.12 at the Maverick Premier #2 on Feb. 15. Hart's time broke the CSUSM record by nearly 17 seconds.

This is the first USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region honor for Badrani and Hart while Badrani is the first CSUSM student-athlete to earn the award in multiple events. Since the first honoree in 2020, there have been 10 Indoor All-Region performances by the women's track & field team.
