CSUSM Falls 76-65 to Humboldt
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (4-4, 1-2 CCAA) dropped a 76-65 decision to Cal Poly Humboldt (5-4, 3-0 CCAA).on Friday evening at The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSUSM opened the game on a 14-2 run, capped by Kaity Haan's layup at 4:08 in the first quarter for its largest lead of the night.
- The Cougars led 15-5 after the first quarter, holding Humboldt to 12.5% shooting (2-of-16).
- Humboldt trimmed the margin to 15-13 on Kyori Lloyd's 3-pointer at 8:22 of the second, but Kristan Yumul answered with a triple at 8:06 to make it 18-13.
- Sydney Hani's layup at 6:09 pushed CSUSM ahead 20-13 before Humboldt rallied late in the half.
- CSUSM took a 31-26 lead into halftime after shooting 42.9% (12-of-28) to Humboldt's 26.7% (8-of-30).
- Humboldt grabbed its first lead at 6:16 of the third on a Riley Sanz 3-pointer, going up 39-37.
- Lloyd's free throws at 3:38 extended Humboldt's lead, and the visitors entered the fourth ahead 52-45.
- Kate Bobadilla's layup at 9:31 cut the deficit to 52-47, but consecutive buckets by Smith pushed it back to 56-50 at 8:38.
