COURSE REPORT: The No. 14 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team took third in its 2024-25 tournament opener, carding a three-round total of 36-over 888 (291-292-305) on Tuesday at the WT Regional Preview.
FIRST TEE
- Madison Murr placed second behind WTAMU's Gam Songprasert (210, -3) with a 1-under 212 (65-72-75).
- Makenna Cabardo broke into the top 10 in the final round with a 3-over 74, finishing the tournament with an 8-over 221 (77-70-74) for a share of 10th place.
- Regan Barton moved up three spots, tying for 19th place with a 12-over 225 (74-75-76).
- Playing as an individual, Maddie Reed tied for 46th with a 21-over 234 (79-73-82).
- Diana Delgado and Chloe Rahn recorded a 22-over 235 (T51st) and 23-over 236 (T57th), respectively.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD
- Murr was on top of the leaderboard with four holes remaining, when she recorded two double bogeys, a par and a birdie while Songprasert went three pars and one birdie in the final four holes.
- Sonoma State's Avery Foster and Texas A&M Kingsville's Zoe Dean each notched an eagle in the final round. They joined Cal State East Bay's Makena Ebster who carded two eagles on the first day while Saint Mary's Libby Kilbride and Sabree Lefebvre each had one.
- West Texas A&M will host the 2025 West Regional at La Paloma Golf Course on May 5-7.
