SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Madison Murr of Cal State San Marcos has been named the CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week (Sept. 25-Oct. 1).
Murr collected her eighth career CCAA weekly honor after placing second at the WT Regional Preview at the La Paloma Golf Course in Amarillo, Texas. She shot a 1-under 213 over the three rounds to finish second on the leaderboard.
The senior opened play by shooting a tournament-best 6-under 65 to take over the top spot on the leaderboard. She followed up with rounds of 1-over 72 and 4-over 75 to finish as one of only two golfers to shoot under par on the 2025 regional course.
Her efforts helped CSUSM finish third with a 36-over 888, one stroke ahead of No. 1 nationally-ranked DBU.
Murr's eight Golfer of the Week awards tie her with former teammate Breann Horn for the second-most in CCAA history. Click here to see a complete list of past weekly award winners.
