Badrani Named FloCollege/CCAA Track Athlete of the Week
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Rasha Badrani has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 24-30.
Rasha Badrani posted two NCAA provisional times and broke her own school record at CSUSM's Mangrum Invitational. She registered a time of 54.67 seconds in the 400-meter dash to best her old mark by .08 seconds. Badrani then ran a time of 59.97 seconds in the 400m hurdles for her second NCAA Qualifying mark. She also helped record the seventh-fastest 4x400m relay time in program history at 3:49.77.

The junior Business Administration major is coming off an NCAA Indoor National Championship in the 400m, and this was her first race of the outdoor season. The Cougars will travel across the county this weekend to compete in the Triton Invitational, hosted by UC San Diego. The meet will run on April 4-5.
