Donnelly, Sloss Earn NFCA All-West Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cal State San Marcos softball's Paige Donnelly and Jayline Sloss have been named to the 2025 NFCA Division II All-West Region second team, the association announced on Thursday.
 
Donnelly boasts a team-leading .368 batting average and .544 slugging percentage. She ranks seventh in the West Region with 67 hits and fifth with five sacrifice flies. The Poway native has recorded a team-best 11 multi-RBI and 20 multi-hit games. This is Donnelly's fourth time earning NFCA All-West Region honors and second time being selected to the second team.

Sloss entered the NCAA West Regional with the most strikeouts looking among the three conferences at 40 while ranking seventh with 108 total strikeouts. The Bakersfield native is holding opponents to a .254 batting average in 156.0 innings. Sloss has a 16-9 record with 11 complete games, three shutouts and two saves. This is Sloss' third NFCA All-West Region nod as she earned second-team honors in 2022 and 2024.
 
CSUSM will open the NCAA West Regional against Biola at 2:30 p.m. at SFSU Softball Field on the campus of San Francisco State.
