Two Cougars Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Cal State San Marcos women's golfers Hannah Anderson and Madison Murr have been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholars Team.

The WGCA All-American Scholar Teams recognize the outstanding academic and athletic achievements in women's college golf.1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs were recognized with this prestigious honor. 

Recognized as having one of the highest standards for selection to these teams in college athletics (3.50 GPA), the WGCA All-American Scholar Golf Teams continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. In addition to their GPAs, honorees must have participated in at least 50 percent of their college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the season. 
 
Murr, who graduated with her bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies this past spring, earned the fourth WGCA All-American Scholar award of her career while Anderson, a Media Studies major, received the first of her career.
