Cougars Earn 6-4 Win Over Toros in Resumed Game
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – After its March 10 game was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to rain, the Cal State San Marcos baseball team (8-12, 2-8 CCAA) wrapped up the contest 18 days later against Cal State Dominguez Hills (13-11, 8-6 CCAA) with a 6-4 win in seven innings on Tuesday at CSUSM Baseball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- On Friday, March 10, the Toros scored the first run of the game in the top of the third inning on an RBI groundout by Aaron Greenfield that scored Miguel Marin and put CSUDH up 1-0.
- An RBI single to center by Rivera in the bottom of the third tied the game at 1-1.
- With the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the fourth, the game was suspended due to rain.
- The contest resumed play on Tuesday, March 28.
- An RBI single to right by Marin scored Scott Ogrin and put the Toros up 2-1.
- The Cougars had a five-run inning in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI single by Luna, a passed ball that scored Freeman, a two-run single by Diaz and a RBI double by Rivera that put CSUSM on top at 6-2.
- CSUDH tried to make a comeback in the top of the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly to center by Greenfield and an RBI single by Vincent Temesvary, but a strikeout by Josiah Torres clinched the victory.
