COURSE REPORT: The No. 9 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team posted the lowest score in both rounds to lead the field of 14 teams after day one of the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational on Monday at Shadowridge Golf Club. The Cougars shot a 16-over 592 (295-297) and have a four-stroke lead over second-place Cal State East Bay.
FIRST TEE
- Diana Delgado is in a three-way tie for first place with Cal State East Bay's Sophia Tejeda and Avery Foster of Sonoma State after carding an even-par 144 (71-73).
- Regan Barton is tied for sixth after shooting back-to-back 74s for a 4-over 148.
- Makenna Cabardo carded a 5-over 149 (73-76) on Monday and is tied for eighth place.
- Kiara Hernandez moved up 11 spots following the first round and is tied for 14th place with a 7-over 151 (77-74).
- Chloe Rahn rounds out CSUSM's five with a 10-over 154 (78-76) and is tied for 24th place.
- Playing as individuals, Abby Sickles is tied for 33rd (157, +13), Hannah Anderson is tied for 44th place (159, +15), Maddie Reed is tied for 60th (165, +20) and Faith Hamstreet is tied for 69th (167, +23).
