CHICO, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (2-14, 1-7 CCAA) dropped a three-set match to Chico State (5-10, 1-7 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at Art Acker Gym, falling 25-27, 17-25, 10-25.

How It Happened
- Set 1: CSUSM battled through a tightly contested opening set, rallying from a late deficit to tie the score at 24-24. Kills by Tindall and Seligmiller helped force extra points, but Chico State closed the set with a kill and a CSUSM setting error to win 27-25.
- Set 2: The Cougars kept pace early, but Chico State used a 6-1 run midway through the set to pull ahead. Despite a late kill from Kranz and a solo block by Tindall, the Wildcats sealed the set 25-17 with a service error.
- Set 3: Chico State dominated the final frame, opening with a 7-0 run that included two service aces and multiple Cougar attack errors. Chico closed out the match 25-10.
