HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Broncos scored almost right out of the gate in the fourth minute. - After 45 minutes of play, CPP had the edge in shots (9-1), shots on goal (2-0) and corner kicks (5-1).
- CSUSM finally evened the game at 1-1 in the 74th minute. Addison Leite intercepted a deflected CPP pass at midfield and took off down the center of the field before putting a lob shot over the keeper's head from the top of the box and into the center of the goal.
- After a Cougar foul in the right side of the box, Cruz put a penalty kick into the bottom right corner of the goal to give the Broncos the lead once again at 2-1.
