Three Cougars Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos golfers Jason McElroy, Arman Rahgozar and Madison Murr were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be considered for the honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at his/her current institution, participated in at least 90 percent of the institution's games/contests or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games/contests, and must be a sophomore academically and athletically.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 16-17.
