For a team to earn All-Academic honors, it must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
CSUSM's women's team tallied a 3.323 GPA while the men's team tallied a 3.249 GPA.
For an individual to earn All-Academic honors, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25, must have been academically eligible at the National Championships and must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS or have competed at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships
This was the first USTFCCCA All-Academic honor for Badrani, Laiwa-McKay and Melanese as each finished their final season at CSUSM.
"I'm proud of these Cougars for receiving this academic honor," CSUSM Head Track & Field Coach Torrey Olson said. "So often we see both the athletic and academic success of our student-athletes spring from the same well of drive, discipline, and habits, and these three are excellent examples."
