Cougars Fall to Warriors in Penultimate Home Game
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (5-20, 5-14 CCAA) fell 78-63 to Stanislaus State (11-14, 8-11 CCAA) in its next-to-last home game of the season on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stan State put together a 9-0 run to go up 12-3 in the first for four minutes.
- The Warriors took their biggest lead of the first half at 3:51 on a Jason Zimmer 3-pointer that made it 32-20.
- Stan State led 38-27 at halftime after shooting 57.1% (16-of-28) while CSUSM came in at 25.8% (8-of-31).
- The Cougars outrebounded the Warriors in the first 20 minutes, 21-15, with 10 boards coming on the offensive side to Stan State's one.
- A 7-0 run by the Cougars cut the lead to single digits at 53-45 on a floating jump shot by Keavie Love with 9:22 remaining in the game.
- CSUSM came no closer to Stan State's lead as the Warriors took their largest lead of the game at 78-61 after a pair of Cameron Walker free throws with 52 seconds left.
- The Cougars shot 54.2% (13-of-24) in the second half while holding the Warriors to 45.5% (15-of-33).

- The Cougars were held to 38.2% (21-of-55) from the field while the Warriors finished at 50.8%.
