RV Cougars Hold On For Fifth Straight Win, Defeat CSUDH 67-62
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The RV Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (5-2, 2-0 CCAA) extended its win streak to five with a 67-62 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills (2-5, 0-2 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars closed out the first quarter on a 10-4 run to take a 20-12 lead.
- Tameilau's 5-0 run at the end of the second quarter put the Cougars up 42-32 at the break.
- Twenty of CSUSM's 42 points in the first half came inside the paint.
- Vasquez was one rebound shy of securing a double-double in the first half.
- The Cougars took their largest lead of the game at the 3:30 mark of the third quarter on a Tameilau second-chance 3-pointer to make it 54-36.
- The third quarter concluded with CSUSM up 56-44.
- In the final minute of the fourth quarter, CSUDH cut the gap to single digits on a 3-pointer by Nala Williams to make it 64-56.
- A jumper by Kylee Edgar made it a 3-point game (65-62) with six seconds remaining.
- After drawing a foul, Katie FitzGerald sunk both ends of her free throws to secure the win at 67-62.

- CSUSM dominated the boards, outrebounding the Toros 46-33 and finishing with a season-high 19 offensive boards.
- The Cougars led for 38:01 of the game while CSUDH was on top for only 15 seconds.
- CSUSM shot 36.7% (22-of-60) from the field while the Toros finished at 37.0% (20-of-54).
- The Cougars posted their second highest free-throw percentage of the season at 76.2% (16-of-21).
