COURSE REPORT: The No. 8 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team (601, +16) moved into first place at the CCAA Championships after carding a 9-over 297 on Tuesday in Santa Barbara at Sandpiper Golf Club. Four Cougars are in the top five with Makenna Cabardo taking over the top spot with a 4-over 148 (75-73).
FIRST TEE
- Cabardo shot the lowest round of the day to move on top of the leaderboard, finishing the day with three birdies and four bogeys.
- Kiara Hernandez is in second place, one stroke back from Cabardo, with a 5-over 149 (74-75).
- Madison Murr shot a clean front nine before finishing with a 2-over 74 in Tuesday's round, moving her two-round total to 6-over 150 (76-74) and sits in third place.
- Regan Barton is tied for fifth place with a 10-over 154 (79-75) after improving on her opening round with a 3-over 75 on Tuesday.
- Diana Delgado is tied for 19th place with an 18-over 162 (84-78).
