COURSE REPORT: The No. 17 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team moved up five spots to take eighth place at the West Texas A&M Desert Invitational on Tuesday in Tuscon, Arizona. Madison Murr led the Cougars with a share of second place after carding an even-par 144 (73-71).
FIRST TEE
- Murr struggled on three of the first five holes she played on Tuesday morning with tallying bogeys before bouncing back with pars and four birdies to conclude the round.
- Makenna Cabardo moved up 23 places to finish tied for 37th with a 15-over 159 (82-77).
- Diana Delgado also moved up the leaderboard, sliding up 29 spots for a share of 54th with a 17-over 161 (86-75).
- Regan Barton tied for 61st with a 18-over 163 (81-82) and Chloe Rahn tied for 75th with a 22-over 166.
