The No. 1 Cal State San Marcos softball team (38-4, 22-2 CCAA) split its doubleheader at No. 8 Cal State East Bay (31-9, 18-6 CCAA) on Thursday afternoon at Pioneer Softball Field, taking the opener 2-1 in eight innings before falling 6-3 in the nightcap as its 13-game win streak came to an end.

Due to the potential for rainy weather this weekend, the schedule for the Cal State San Marcos baseball home series against Cal State Monterey Bay at Dennis A. Pugh Field has been altered.
