Four Cougars Run Top-25 Performances at UCR Invitational
The Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team placed sixth out of 25 teams in the Invitational 8K race at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning, totaling 235 points. The Cougars also competed in the Open 8K race, where four CSUSM runners took part.
Nacco Paces Cougars to Runner-Up Showing at Coyote Challenge
With Ziggy Nacco leading the way, the Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team claimed runner-up honors Saturday morning at the Coyote Challenge. The Cougars totaled 66 points in the 8K race, finishing behind Cal Poly Pomona (27 points) and ahead of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (79).
Ninety-Nine Cougars Earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award
Cal State San Marcos Athletics had 99 student-athletes earn the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
CSUSM Places 132 on CCAA All-Academic List
A total of 132 Cal State San Marcos student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 CCAA All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
Hoyt Selected to Lead CSUSM Cross Country/Track & Field Programs
After a successful national search, Cal State San Marcos Director of Athletics Morod Shah announced the hiring of Jack Hoyt as the new head coach for men's and women's cross country/track & field on Thursday.
