CSUSM Falls in Three in CCAA Opener at SF State
SAN FRANCISCO — The Cal State San Marcos volleyball team (1-8, 0-1 CCAA) opened CCAA play Friday evening with a road loss to San Francisco State (2-6, 1-0 CCAA), falling in straight sets (13-25, 16-25, 17-25) at the Main Gym at Don Nasser Family Plaza.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SET 1 – SF State used a 12-0 run to break open a close start, winning 25-13 behind a .650 hitting percentage.
- SET 2 – CSUSM improved offensively, hitting .208 and tallying two blocks, but SF State's balanced attack led to a 25-16 win.
- SET 3 – The Cougars kept pace early and cut the deficit to 23-17 before SF State closed the match with two final points, taking the set 25-17.
